Splurge or save: bathroom

A splurge or save inspired by our main floor powder room:

In many instances, going with a pre-fabricated vanity is most cost efficient, however in this case I was able to save by having a custom vanity made. Not only was it a savings, but because it was custom, we were able have the floating vanity made to fit perfectly in our space. Additionally, I saved money by picking out stone remnants from our fabricator. I chose a "Calcutta clara quartz" that somewhat resembles a marble, but will be more withstanding to use from our kids. As a side note, a lot of manufacturers make up their own names for stones so if you call around asking for a specific stone, they might say no, but they may actually have it, it just goes by a different name.

All in with the custom cabinet, stone, hardware, and kohler undermounted sink this vanity was $1300. Compared to the $2300 RH vanity this is quite the savings.

The splurge here were the warm brass sconces by Kelly Wearstler. Although I would have loved the arteriors home bracket mirror (there is also a good RH dupe here and is less expensive than the arteriors), I went with a modestly priced mirror from shades of light.

I'm still eyeing the Cole and Son cloud wallpaper but I'm still not so sure. Let me know what you think? Should I splurge or save?
